Notes on CANNIBAL COUSINS

By John Houston Craige

Bob Corbett
Written sometime before 1990

Despite the strange title this is a book about the American Occupation. It is a book that reflects the lack of understanding of Haitian culture, and the interplay of American racism in Haiti.

Craige's stance is to appear the liberal, but his superficial recounting of wild stories as fact is a clear methodological sign of someone who is not very serious about history or culture. It's a book written to titillate and sell!

Craige is constantly impuning motives and reporting stories and surmises as fact.
