Do you mean the crown of King Faustin aka Soulouque from mid 1880's? If
so, it's not his crown, it's his wife's crown and it's on display at the
Pantheon Museum aka MUPANAH, near the Palace, Champ de Mars.

It disappeared for a couple of years and the 'whisper it' rumour was
that it was being held as a guarantee for a loan!!!

By the way, everyone who is in Haiti should try and get down to this
Museum as they have an excellent exhibition on 'D'Ayiti to Haiti' -
from the Taino Indians to the Revolution. It has been put on by the new
Director of the Museum, a Diaspora from Montreal who was brought back to
run the museum. Her name is Mme Marie Lucie Vendryes and her whole
background is museums, which augurs well for the future of the Museum.
The exhibition is very good with rare documents including letters from
Toussaint Napoleon and an anonymous letter denouncing abuses by Jean
Jacques Dessalines against the women in Aux Cayes!!! It's open from 10 -
6pm I think, and on Sundays from 12midday and this particular exhibition
has an entrance fee of 50 gourdes. They preface your visit to the
exhibition by showing a great little animated film on the origins and
passage of slaves from Africa to Canada. Seems it was done by a Canadian
Haitian woman who didn't know her Haitian father but decided to
investigate slavery.

Go and see it - it's excellent.
