In a nut shell (the experts would have to tell you more...).   Souvenance is
a Lakou on the outskirts of Gonaives where they  hold ceremonies every year,
around Easter, attended by people from the  area, from all over the country and

abroad. The traditions of Souvenance  are said to come directly from Benin,
Africa and they differ from traditions you  may find in Port-au-Prince or the
South.
